Mechanical Designer
Description
Reinbold Engineering Group is a national mechanical engineering firm with offices located in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton and Kelowna.
Our company specializes in designing HVAC and plumbing Mechanical design for commercial, healthcare, institutional, residential, and mixed-use high-rise projects.

Job Description
- Placing and sizing of distribution systems and equipment following industry standards and
- Perform load calculations using the company-provided software.
- Selection of mechanical equipment working directly with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Preparation of schematic design, design development and construction documents in either AutoCAD or REVIT, and adhere to Reinbold Design Standards and Guidelines.
- Assist with Contract Administration, including shop drawing review, RFI responses and on-site review.
- May attend design and construction meetings with the client, other consultants and the contractors.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in mechanical design of HVAC and plumbing for commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
- Canadian experience is an asset.
- A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering is an asset.
- Understanding of mechanical systems and current codes and standards, such as the local plumbing and local building codes.
- Understanding of software programs (Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, REVIT).
